A gift to the Thriving Neighbors Initiative will help expand access to education and build capacity for entrepreneurship for hundreds of children in the Greater Washington neighborhood of San Jose.

A gift to the Arrupe Community-based Learning Program will expand the walls of the classroom by providing real-world opportunities for students to collaborate and engage with neighboring schools and nonprofits.

A gift to the Immersion Program will provide opportunities for students to gain a deeper understanding of local and global issues through multi-day experiences.

Measured Impact

Over the last three years, the Bannan Institute has hosted over 60 events, providing events for over 8,000 individuals.

Over 1,100 students have participated in immersions since 2009, with 18 different host organizations in eight different countries.

More than 1,200 students participate in the Arrupe Weekly engagement Program each year, across 50 placement sites and more than 20,000 engagement hours each year.
- More than 100 Washington neighborhood students participate in the after-school program focusing on STEM, art, leadership, and nutrition education.
