The Best Way to Support SCU
The Santa Clara Fund is the foundation of giving to Santa Clara University. It's also the best way to support SCU, because gifts to the Santa Clara Fund offer the University maximum flexibility in applying funds where the need is greatest and most immediate.
Immediate, Direct Impact
Gifts to the Santa Clara Fund have an immediate, direct impact. That's because one hundred percent of the gifts made to the Santa Clara Fund go to work during the current fiscal year to benefit current students in one of four essential areas:
- Scholarships: Ensuring that an SCU education is holistic and intellectually rigorous is a costly proposition. As a consequence, 73 percent of our undergraduate students depend upon some form of financial assistance—including support from the Santa Clara Fund.
- Academic Programs: By continuously enhancing its academic programs, SCU offers students exceptional quality and value. But tuition only covers about 77 percent of the cost—and the Santa Clara Fund plays an important role in helping bridge the gap.
- Study Abroad and Immersion Programs: The SCU student experience is distinguished by high-impact community-based learning opportunities. Gifts to the Santa Clara Fund provide critical funding for travel and thousands of hours of valuable community engagement each year.
- Student Initiatives: The Santa Clara Fund plays an important role in helping to underwrite the cost of club sports, student government, and other student initiatives that play a pivotal role in enriching the undergraduate student experience at SCU.
