Manav Jaiswal grew up in India experiencing intermittent electricity availability. At SCU as a graduate student, he created an inexpensive, efficient energy-saving home automation system, and his research netted him a “Best Paper” award at a prestigious conference.
Following months of preparation, electrical engineering seniors Jacob Leatherberry and Nicolas Metais traveled to a tiny village in Benin to install their solar microgrid that, a year later, is bringing light to more than 300 residents.
Anna Harris '17 led the way as a Tiny House tour guide and as the civil engineering lead for the 2016 champion rEvolve House.
