Go All in for Men's Club Soccer!
This is the first year of Men’s Club Soccer here at Santa Clara University. We have waited a long time to represent our school and this team is doing so with passion. The backing of our school has sparked a fire in our hearts and the team is playing better than ever. Coming off a 5-0 win against Stanford and a 3-1 win against Sonoma State, Santa Clara Men’s Club Soccer is currently 4-2 in the WCSA NorCal Division and sits 3rd in the table. Our team has seen great success in this competition in previous years and we expect nothing less than a spot in the regional playoffs in April. We lead the league in goals with 31 scored in 6 games. By supporting our team, we can provide greater financial support to students in need, purchase higher quality equipment, and potentially create a second team to provide a playing opportunity to more students on campus. Our last tryouts received 80 prospective players from which we could only take 15. Creating more opportunities for students is one of the best ways to develop the club into a lasting powerhouse and keeps more athletes playing soccer. Thank you for any support you may be willing to contribute! We can’t wait to see what heights we can achieve this season and are super proud of the trajectory of this club!
“Club Soccer has been one of the greatest parts of my life at Santa Clara. Being a senior, I have been privileged to witness the transformation and growth of so many athletes. This team has become a powerhouse in club soccer through sheer dedication and commitment towards a common objective. I couldn’t be more proud of this group and the success that we have achieved over the years. I’m so happy I didn’t stop playing soccer and continued to develop my ability.” - Ander Poitras-Lazcano, ‘25 President
