Memorial/Endowed Scholarships

Memorial and Endowed Scholarships are a special way to honor classmates, reflect, and reconnect over shared SCU experiences.  They are also a time to invest in current and future Broncos.  


See below some of the Scholarships that you can support this Day of Giving:


Tim Riehl "Big Time" Memorial Scholarship 

Friends and Classmates of Tim Riehl, on this Day of Giving, let’s maximize the impact to the Tim Riehl “Big Time” Memorial Scholarship.

This scholarship enables Tim’s legacy to continue in perpetuity by supporting fellow Broncos for generations to come. 


The Class of 1966 Women's Legacy Endowed Scholarship

Led by the tenacious fundraising efforts of a group of women from the Class of 1966, who lovingly refer to themselves as "The Legacy Ladies", The Class of 1966 Women's Legacy Endowed Scholarship was formally established in 2023.  This scholarship was created to honor the women of '66, who were part of  the first classes of women to be enrolled as freshman at Santa Clara University.  In light of the pioneering spirit of the women of '66, this scholarship will provide need-based financial assistance to undergraduate women students. 


Board of Regents Posse Foundation Scholarship 

Join the Board of Regents in supporting the second cohort of Posse Foundation Scholars. 10 full-tuition scholarships will be awarded to students from the Los Angeles area who are identified as leaders in their community. In addition to the financial scholarship, these scholars will be supported with mentorship and internship opportunities. 


Regent Experential Learning Initiative Fund 

In 2024 the Board of Regents launched the Regent Experiential Learning Initiative to help support educational or experiential programs that substantively advance students' career explorations while engaging students with the Board of Regents and their greater industry networks. In this first year, the Regents will fund 5 different initiatives that range from helping students obtain an interview suit or career wardrobe to helping cover conference fees/travel so students present their research at a conference.  


Justin Ebner Endowed Accounting Scholarship

To honor Justin Ebner’s memory, an accounting major who tragically passed away during his junior year at SCU, the Justin Ebner Endowed Accounting Scholarship was established to provide scholarship assistance for junior accounting majors who show a love of accounting and work to help and inspire others. Justin was a 6’7” gentle giant with a kind soul who always made time for others. With your gift, Justin's legacy will continue in perpetuity supporting future accounting students for generations to come.


Stacy Ann (Hawes) Melle Endowed Scholarship

As an alumnus from the class of 1991, Stacy Ann (Hawes) Melle has been described by classmates, friends and family as inspiring, loving and determined.  The Stacy Ann (Hawes) Melle Endowed Scholarship provides scholarships for undergraduate students with a preference for female communication majors. 

 

Class of 1955 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established during by the class of 1979 to provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduate students.  



Class of 1968 Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established during the class of 1968's 25th reunion as a means of continuing an educational tradition for undergraduates cherished by classmates.


Class of 1973 Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in honor of the Class of 1973's 25th reunion, the Class of 1973 Endowed Scholarship has provided scholarship assistance and student financial aid for 25 years.


Class of 1978 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established during the class of 1978's 25th reunion in remembrance of those from the class who have passed away. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship dollars to students at Santa Clara University with demonstrated financial need. 


Class of 1979 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established during by the class of 1979 to provide financial assistance to deserving, needy and worthy undergraduate students.
