Community Heritage Lab

Support the Community Heritage Lab!


Support the Community Heritage Lab, where SCU students, faculty, and staff work with community partners on collaborative, interdisciplinary research and public-facing projects. These projects enhance engagement with diverse local histories and cultures that strengthen our campus community. Thank you for supporting this important work!


Your gifts will help support: 

  • The Thamien Ohlone Augmented Reality Tour of the SCU campus, co-created with the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe 
  • A continuous, year-round Ohlone Youth AR Storytelling Program exercising the cultural, artistic, design, and technological skills of Ohlone youth to co-create experiences for the AR tour 
  • The development and expansion of the Ohlone Heritage Hub website, in collaboration with the Ohlone Indian Tribe and the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe 
  • The Ohlone Youth Cultural Camp that brings Ohlone youth to their homelands on SCU’s campus to practice culture and build community 
  • Archaeological and historical research about Mission Santa Clara, Santa Clara’s Old Quad neighborhood, and the rich heritage of Silicon Valley 
  • Other student-centered research projects with community partners
