Santa Clara Formula SAE
Santa Clara Formula SAE Electric provides hands-on engineering experience through the design and construction of a small Formula 1 style race car. Our mission is to prepare students to work in a professional environment and instill in our members a drive to develop and innovate. Each year students will work together to design an electric race car from the ground up to represent Santa Clara in an annual intercollegiate competition. Students will gain experience working in a diverse, collaborative environment while networking with other students, faculty, and sponsoring companies.
Through the completion of FSAE students will learn the following skills:

● Corporate and community outreach
● Public speaking
● High precision manufacturing
We plan to use Day of Giving funds to buy stock material, safety equipment, and parts for our vehicle. Our estimated cost of a first year vehicle is around $80,000, but even a $5 contribution will help our team make progress towards a completed car.
