ON A MISSION OF RECONCILIATION AND JUSTICE
The Center for Social Justice and Public Service is at the heart of Santa Clara Law’s Jesuit mission, supporting the social justice work and service work of all of our law school community. — Evangeline Abriel (Faculty Director) and Caitlin Robinett Jachimowicz (Director)
The mission of the Center for Social Justice is to raise awareness of social justice needs and to support and celebrate the myriad ways in which our law school community renders service. These include the scholarship of our faculty, hosting symposia and speakers, the pro bono work of our students, and the Wildman Social Justice Writing award, as well as the Center’s Summer Social Justice Stipends and the Spring Break Service Trip.
Many summer legal internships within the public sector are non-paying employment. Through the gifts from both alums and friends of the law school, we are able to provide summer stipends to our students who take unpaid internships with public interest organizations in the United States. It is because of such contributions that they serve the community and under-represented individuals through working at non-profit law offices, foundations, and government agencies. Your generosity — however large or small — makes the difference.
On April 10, Go All In with the Center for Social Justice!
