Santa Clara’s School of Engineering provides exciting interdisciplinary opportunities for engineering students to work with a multitude of partners. Here, students—from first year through Ph.D. candidates and from engineering, business, public health, and other disciplines across campus—collaborate with peers and partners from industry and academia to solve real-world problems.



BioInnovation and Design Lab: addressing the 21st century’s most pressing healthcare challenges

Center for Nanostructures: engineering cutting-edge materials, devices, and systems at the nanoscale

Frugal Innovation Hub: facilitating technological and humanitarian projects with external partners

Latimer Energy Lab: supporting energy research and outreach activities 

Maker Lab: a hands-on prototyping space supporting coursework, innovation, and entrepreneurship

Robotics Systems Lab: a world-class field operation advancing robotic systems for air, land, sea, and space
