A gift to the Department of Anthropology means supporting student research and internships. All anthropology majors complete 100 hours of field research, lab research, or an internship to apply their anthropological knowledge beyond the classroom. They might study monkeys in Costa Rica, travel to an archaeological field site, conduct biomarker assays, study coastal erosion, or do ethnographic research for a tech company in the Silicon Valley. In all cases, these activities are the highlight of their undergraduate career because they get to do real anthropological work!
Lee Panich, Chair of Anthropology
“Thank you for considering anthropology student research during this day of giving!”
– Michelle Bezanson, Professor of Anthropology
