The Sailing Club team practices and sails in nearby Redwood City. The club competes in the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference and competes in collegiate dinghy regattas all along the West Coast. Collegiate sailing primarily competes in Flying Juniors, but also in Laser class sailboats. Sailing is both exciting and highly rewarding as the team continues to build a strong reputation.
“Club sailing has been one of the best choices I’ve made as a student since enrolling at SCU. I had always desired to be part of a team of like minded individuals that shared my love of open water, traveling, and sailing. The sailing team has given me the opportunity to explore many different sailing venues and colleges across the West Coast and compete against some of the nation’s best teams throughout the school year. Practice fits perfectly into my busy academic schedule making it something to always look forward to and relax for a fun day in the sun and on the water.”
