Resiliency Bags Initiative
Growing Stronger Together

Growing a stronger community by addressing food insecurity

The Forge Garden and Bronco Urban Gardens (BUG)  launched the Resiliency Bags Initiative, in a coordinated effort to support the families and children that have participated in our garden-based programming. Many households face a myriad challenges related to COVID-19, and Resiliency Bags is our way of responding to our most vulnerable community members. Each week, Forge Garden produce is harvested and packed into bags for families facing economic insecurities due to the pandemic. An educational activity--designed to increase environmental literacy--as well as essential pantry items are included in each bag too. Gifts will enable us to continue purchasing supplies for this project.
