Microfinance Association

Microfinance Association at Santa Clara University

The Microfinance Association (MiFi) at SCU is a group of students who are interested in the philanthropic aspect of business. Our group is committed to promoting microfinance within the SCU community and assisting local nonprofits in alleviating poverty. We organize club meetings to spread knowledge about microfinance and coordinate projects to help organizations provide microloans to entrepreneurs near the poverty line.

Our most recent project involves promoting local microloan programs by selling coffee from Capeltic, a fair trade cooperative of farmers in Chiapas, Mexico. With your help, MiFi can continue to launch projects that aim to spread awareness of microfinance enterprises, support financial literacy, and empower members of marginalized groups to start their businesses.
