SCU students develop their ethical decision-making muscle to build a more caring world.
It is interesting to talk about moral dilemmas - what can we do to make our government more transparent, protect our privacy online, make sure businesses are accountable for their products? How do we train medical personnel to handle difficult decisions? Ensuring that a Santa Clara University education provides students with the ethical grounding to be able to solve real-world problems is at the core of the Markkula Center’s work.
The Ethics Center engages students in dialogue about ethics in everyday life and through its broad array of fellowships and internships, allows them to pursue interests in many areas of ethics, including business, government, the environment, engineering, and health care - developing their ethical decision-making muscle and building a more caring world.
