Shaping Values-Based Business Leaders Since 1923
Celebrating 100 years of Business Education. For the Leavey School of Business, 2023 will be a year of milestones. The school is celebrating its 100th anniversary with plans to invite Leavey legends and alumni back to campus in celebration of 100 Years of Leavey. From 1923 when the College of Commerce and Finance was formed, and in the following year when Kenna Hall was constructed, the Leavey School of Business has transformed to become the leading institution it is today.
Past. Business education has deep roots at Santa Clara University, reaching all the way to its first commercial course that launched in 1854. And while business education has been part of SCU since its early days, the University officially created a College of Commerce and Finance in 1923 to provide a fundamental education to the next generation of business leaders.
Present. Our deep traditions of values-based learning and educating the whole person sit at the interaction of business and education resulting in inspired and impactful leadership that instills the principles of ethical business into our students.
Future. Looking to our next century, we are launching our Leavey PLUS initiative in which we focus on partnerships, leadership, unity and sustainability to ensure that our graduates are prepared to be a community of changemakers eager to transform both their companies and the world around them.
Support the Leavey School of Business. Your gift provides essential funds for students, provides support for transformational opportunities and helps us build a better business world for our next 100 years. Thank you!
