Santa Clara's Filipino Student Association
The mission of Barkada of Santa Clara University (Barkada of SCU) is to promote the awareness of the Filipino culture and community on the SCU campus through education, networking, social justice, and social activities/events while upholding its heritage, traditions, and relationships.
Being the largest cultural club on campus, we put on a lot of programming to help foster our ideals of community and connection. Our major events include, but are not limited to, KAA (Kuya/Ate/Ading: our Big/Little program), Barrio Fiesta! (our annual talent show/street fair/charity fundraiser), and of course BPCN (Barkada’s Pilipino Culture Show) where we showcase traditional filipino culture through dance and skit.
None of these programs, alongside our weekly meetings, collaborations with other clubs and organizations, social justice initiatives, and other events would be possible without funds. With your generosity, Barkada of SCU can continue to thrive, connect students with their culture, and help people to be proud of who they are and where they came from.
