Sociology Club

Back and Better than Ever

Sociology looks beyond normal, taken-for-granted views of reality, to provide deeper, more illuminating and challenging understandings of social life. The Sociology Club is a diverse group of students that discuss social issues, culture, society, and the real-world implications of communication, empathy, and understanding one another.

We participate in community volunteering opportunities, host community speakers with a background in sociology, and feature our very own faculty, their areas of study, and their achievements in the field. We have many events and opportunities planned for the upcoming quarter and school year that will spark intellectual pursuits and discussion, explore future employment possibilities, expose students to undergraduate research opportunities, and provide a space for social networking among and between undergraduate students, alumni, and faculty members of the Department of Sociology at Santa Clara University.

At the Sociology Club, it is our hope to enlighten all students, regardless of their major or minors, of the wonders of sociology and its significance in our rapidly progressing and changing world.
