Help us grow our Professional Engagement Endowment
Challenge Alert! – 35 donations to the Communication Department will unlock $12,500 from Rick and Shannon Lowe in support of the Digital Filmmaking Program!
The Comm Department is committed to connecting our students with professionals working in the various fields of Communication to help them figure out which career to pursue after graduation.
Our annual Spring Break Entertainment Shadowing Program is one example. Funding non-paying internships is another. With your generous support, we can expand these programs and provide financial assistance to students in need so they can attend. It’s through these programs that we are able to prepare our students for a fulfilling career after graduation.

“During my sophomore year at SCU I was lost and confused about the path I wanted to take in life. But that all changed when I went on the shadowing program – after that trip and meeting inspiring alumni, I changed my major, became part of an amazing community, and was able to score an internship at a production company.”
- Alle Cacchione, Class of 2020
“The SCU Alumni Shadowing Program in LA was an invaluable experience that allowed me to connect with alumni in the entertainment industry and learn about the various opportunities that exist within Hollywood. Because of the firsthand perspective, I was able to narrow down my interests in the industry and forge meaningful connections with SCU students and alumni.”
- Naima Fonrose, Class of 2020
