Partner in our efforts to educate, advocate, and serve!
Santa Clara Law’s Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center’s two-fold mission is to: train law students to be life-long social justice advocates and serve the legal needs of the low-income community. Our work brings increased stability, security, and peace of mind for our clients and community.
Through their work at the Center, law students have the opportunity to develop valuable legal skills while being challenged intellectually, spiritually, and socially. They learn to become more empathetic, practice resilience in the face of adversity, and strive to lead with character.
"Being at the law center is the exact reason why I came to law school: to help bring legal resources to low-income communities. My experience reaffirms why I chose to pursue a legal career in the first place." — Josephine Amairani Velázquez, '23
Together, our attorneys and law students provide free legal services for over 1,000 individuals each year with consumer law, immigration law, and workers’ rights issues. Our service delivery model includes community outreach and education, advice clinics, and full-representation cases.
Support the Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center and help educate the next generation of law students committed to advocacy and service.
