...Where Missions Are Launched
At the SCU Library, we live to help students succeed! 86% of undergrads visit the Library at least once a week to get help from library staff, use our computers and research resources, meet teammates in private study rooms, and enjoy a peaceful space with quiet nooks and crannies to focus on what’s important.
Last year, librarians visited 341 classes on campus to teach critical research and information literacy skills, so students know how to find reliable sources and discern fact from fiction. We also established relationships with over 700 transfer and international students to provide customized academic support with our Personal Librarian program.
Through the new Library Diversity Fellowship, two undergrads have joined our team to lead diversity and inclusion-related initiatives. We doubled down on our commitment to social justice by increasing our funding of Open Access, a global movement to provide research and course materials online for free.
Your gift to the Library will support all of these programs and help us expand our impact on students’ academic journeys. We can’t thank you enough for making our mission possible!
