National Society of Black Engineers

The purpose of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is “to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community." Our NSBE chapter strives to create a support system for the black engineering students at SCU, while also participating in projects across campus and hosting community outreach events. Our members also attend regional and national conventions once a year to engage with industry professionals, graduate schools, and other chapters from around the United States. The NSBE SCU chapter won “Small Chapter of the Year” at the last national convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Your generosity will allow our chapter to continue its efforts of STEM awareness within our SCU community and the surrounding youth communities, taking members to national conventions, and actively engaging in the development of our members’ professional lives.
