"The Global Social Benefit Fellowship embodies the Santa Clara University mission by preparing students with intensive academic research. It provided me the opportunity to add value to the mission of GSBI social enterprises in real-time, and challenged me to explore what meaningful opportunities lie outside of a prescribed career path.”

Lindsey Allen

Global Social Benefit Fellow, Solar Sister 2015

BA Political Science 2016

The Global Social Benefit Fellowship at Miller Center creates social justice learning experiences for high potential undergraduates regardless of their economic background.

The Fellowship provides Santa Clara University students opportunities to develop their entrepreneurial leadership skills and to deepen their commitment to a more just, humane, and sustainable world. Alumni of the fellowship enter prestigious graduate schools to succeed professionally, become intrapreneurs bringing their vision to Silicon Valley firms, and go to work with social enterprises all over the globe.

“This Fellowship is the right kind of program, and a rare one in the United States: giving talented undergraduates an opportunity to get outside of the classroom and get real, on-the ground experience in the developing countries that they read about in textbooks in an academic setting."

Michael Lwin, CEO

Koe Koe Tech, Myanmar

The Fellows' experience is made possible through generous gifts that fully fund their transformational experience.
