Support unparalleled global opportunities for SCU students
Santa Clara students who participate in the Global Social Benefit Fellowship at Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship are given unparalleled opportunities to learn and work on the front lines of poverty eradication all around the world.
The 144 students who have completed the fellowship are uniquely positioned to impact companies and organizations in ways that are in high demand in the global workforce. Fellows learn how to collaborate in different cultures and languages, and how to continuously innovate and adapt to changing environments.
Griffin Garner’s (Environmental Studies & Spanish, ‘20) fellowship experience has led to him developing an app for Catholic Sisters who are participating in Miller Center’s Sisters’ Blended Value project. The Sisters are uniquely positioned to unleash the potential of African women and youth through transforming their social ministries into social enterprises to create dignified livelihoods.
“This project builds off of my work in Uganda as a Global Social Benefit Fellow collaborating with NUCAFE to design and create training materials for coffee farmers. I learned that maintaining adaptability and an open mind is crucial when designing content for any audience.”
