Memorial and Endowed Scholarships are a special way to honor classmates, reflect, and reconnect over shared SCU experiences. They are also a time to invest in current and future Broncos.
See below some of the Scholarships that you can support this Day of Giving:
Tim Riehl "Big Time" Memorial Scholarship
Friends and Classmates of Tim Riehl, on this Day of Giving, let’s maximize the impact to the Tim Riehl “Big Time” Memorial Scholarship.
Today, if 40 gifts are made to the Tim Riehl “Big Time” Memorial Scholarship then Merritt (Quisumbing) and Joe Anderson will give an additional $10,000.
This scholarship enables Tim’s legacy to continue in perpetuity by supporting fellow Broncos for generations to come. Because of your support, Joe Ryan became the first recipient of Tim’s scholarship.
Patrick Carney Memorial Scholarship
The Patrick Carney Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Patrick Carney who passed away in the fall of 1996 during his senior year at SCU. Patrick was one of the most beloved people on campus for the way he treated others and always greeted everyone with a smile. He loved biology, nature, and considered SCU his home. Patrick's memory will live on in the people who knew him and in this memorial scholarship awarded to a student who best represents the values that Patrick stood for. If 25 gifts are made to the Patrick Carney Memorial Scholarship in honor of the 25th reunion a $12,000 gift will be unlocked!
Board of Regents Endowed Scholarship
The Board of Regents Endowed Scholarship was established by the Board of Regents to provide additional financial aid to deserving students who represent the values of competence, conscience and compassion and would not be able to attend SCU without this additional scholarship aid.
Justin Ebner Endowed Accounting Scholarship
To honor Justin Ebner’s memory, an accounting major who tragically passed away during his junior year at SCU, the Justin Ebner Endowed Accounting Scholarship was established to provide scholarship assistance for junior accounting majors who show a love of accounting and work to help and inspire others. Justin was a 6’7” gentle giant with a kind soul who always made time for others. With your gift, Justin's legacy will continue in perpetuity supporting future accounting students for generations to come.
Stacy Ann (Hawes) Melle Endowed Scholarship
As an alumnus from the class of 1991, Stacy Ann (Hawes) Melle has been described by classmates, friends and family as inspiring, loving and determined. The Stacy Ann (Hawes) Melle Endowed Scholarship provides scholarships for undergraduate students with a preference for female communication majors.
