Health Ambassadors Joey D'Angelo and Megan Cherrey hand out a rapid COVID test to an SCU student during the omicron wave (January 2022).

For the past year, Public Health students and faculty have supported our campus during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve been intimately involved in COVID operations, and formed a new group called Health Ambassadors that has been critical to COVID education and rapid testing efforts at SCU. Beyond COVID, we’re excited to announce that the Valeriote Goldman Public Health Leadership Program is expanding, with more students and mentors engaged than ever! Public Health classes, internships and community-based learning are finally returning to being in-person. With your support, we can continue to place students for critical work in our communities.

Day of Giving is a great chance to support experiential learning and internship opportunities for SCU Public Health students. Issues of health equity are more visible than ever, and our students are committed to addressing these ongoing challenges.
