Psychology Department

Support our student researchers!

The Psychology Department uses donations to support our students, primarily by supporting their ability to collaborate with faculty members in their research programs. This collaboration often results in presentations, both at the local level and at professional conferences, and publications in peer-reviewed journals with these students as co-authors. The funds will support students in their conduct of the research or in providing support for student travel so they can present their work at conferences.

Matt Bell
Professor and Chair of Psychology

"My Culture Impacts Emotion Lab uses funds we receive to support students who continue to work on research over the summer through the REAL program. We have also received specific funds for students to present at conferences and to purchase software with which we analyze emotional facial expressions in images and videos."

Birgit Koopmann-Holm, Assistant Professor
