Empowering Students to Lead and Educate Their Peers
The Wellness Center's mission is to foster a culture of well-being where students develop lifelong skills to enhance their quality of life. The center focuses on equipping students with knowledge and tools to make informed, healthy choices in areas such as nutrition, stress management, relationships, sexual health, mental health, general health, and sleep quality.
Recognizing that some of these topics can be challenging to discuss, the Wellness Center emphasizes a peer-to-peer approach, which is often more effective in a college setting. Two student-led groups, the Peer Health Educators and Violence Prevention Educators, receive specialized training through national resources to lead programs and events. These groups empower students with the knowledge and resources they need to educate themselves and others, creating a supportive and informed campus community. Your support ensures that student leaders receive the training and resources they need to create a healthier, more informed campus community.
