Ahmanson Veteran Scholarship Initiative

Support Student Veteran Efforts!

SCU’s student veteran population is now at an all-time high of over 50 student veterans enrolled at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

We have an active Student Veterans of America (SVA) Chapter, as well as the Veterans Alumni group. We continue with the annual Veterans Alumni Breakfast during Grand Reunion and an annual Veterans Day event. In late Fall 2024, we officially were able to open the Veterans Lounge in St. Joseph’s Hall. This is a dedicated lounge space for student veterans and we hope to build on this effort.

Our ongoing challenge is ensuring that Student Veterans have the financial support to make an SCU education a viable and realistic option. It is harder for student veterans to attend private schools due to the funding limitations of the Post-911 GI Bill. The Ahmanson Veteran Scholarship Initiative is vital in helping to enhance and provide additional means to support Student Veterans in their path toward success.

Your contribution will allow us to continue growing the level of support that we can provide to our Student Veterans to ensure their continued success as well as continued development. Your contributions can help us make a difference.
