University Library - A Place for Opening Minds

The Santa Clara University Library is a place for opening minds. We welcome students to open their minds to new knowledge, by offering thought-provoking research guides authored by librarians and providing access to diverse collections and materials. We bring together everyone and every department with our services, collections, and a variety of spaces to study, socialize and connect.

Critically, the University Library is a central hub for events that foster candid and caring dialogue on topics related to Jesuit values, current events and creating a more just world. The University Library hosted a traveling exhibit “The Bias Inside Us” with the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES), a Xicana Art & Action Artist Talk and Workshop with Nancy "Pili" Hernández,  Project Information Literacy (PIL) Climate Change Study, Welcome Fest, monthly heritage book displays, student clubs using the space (Saturday coders, video game, and Books and Tea club), AI workshops, finals week activities, and so much more!

This space to be together is even more critical today as we grapple with the challenges and opportunities of our world at this moment.

Your gift to the Library will support University Library events and programs that help us expand our impact on students’ academic and personal journeys. We can’t thank you enough for making the University Library a place where everyone belongs and minds are opened!
